Doctors Hoover, Lipscomb and Muscat Receive Certificate By The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery

Gregory K. Hoover, M.D., A. Brant Lipscomb, M.D., and Joseph O. Muscat, M.D., each received a certificate of Added Qualifications in Sports Medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. 

The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) was founded in 1934. It is a private non-profit corporation that exists to serve the public interest by examining orthopaedic surgeons and certifying that they have met certain standards of education, training and practice. The boards role is to to evaluate the knowledge, skills and practice of individual surgeons for the good of the public.

Gregory K. Hoover, M.D., specializes in sports medicine, arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery, and minimally invasive joint replacement surgery.

A. Brant Lipscomb, Jr. M.D., is noted for his work in sports medicine and surgery of the knee.

Joseph O. Muscat, IV, M.D., is an orthopedic surgeon practicing general orthopedics at our Humble/Kingwood location.

Houston, Texas

Alice has served as Chief Operating Officer at Mainland Medical Center since 2002. Prior to this role, Mrs. Adams held the title of Chief Nursing Officer from 1993 to 2002. 

Texas Orthopedic Hospital is very excited to have Alice join its team.  Mrs. Adams has accepted this new position because of her strong understanding of the role of culture in a company's success and her level of personal integrity.

Additionally, Alice's strong leadership style has won her the respect of patients, physicians, employees and fellow Administrators throughout the HCA organization as well as the local community.

Texas Orthopedic Hospital Is Pleased to Offer Junior Volunteer College Scholarships
Local News-Volunteers

Each year, the hospital awards 1-2 $500.00 scholarships to junior volunteers who have completed their senior year in high school and who have met the following criteria:

*A minimum of 100 volunteers hours at Texas Orthopedic Hospital

*Acceptance into an accredited college or univeristy

*High School transcripts that show an academic average of 3.0 or better

*Interest of study in the healthcare arena

*Essay on future goals/ambitions

*Quality References
