Services our joint pain specialists offer
As your joint wears from disease, injury or aging, you might experience pain, stiffness and swelling. For most, joint replacement is the standard used to address advanced arthritis, cartilage damage and fractures.
Joint replacement surgery
We perform thousands of joint replacements every year, using robot-assisted techniques whenever possible for total and partial knee replacement procedures. Utilizing these techniques can contribute to greater accuracy and precision, reduced discomfort, faster recovery and minimized scarring.
During joint replacement surgery, we replace all or part of a damaged joint with a metal, plastic or ceramic prosthesis joint, which is designed to simulate the movement of a healthy, natural joint.
Types of joint replacement procedures we offer include:
- Ankle replacement
- Elbow replacement
- Hip replacement
- Knee replacement
- Shoulder replacement
Preparing for joint replacement surgery
If you are having a hip or knee placement, we encourage you to attend our virtual Hip/Knee Joint Replacement Preoperative Class prior to your scheduled procedure (the class is also available in Spanish). Here, you can learn about the surgical process and ask any questions you may be hesitant to ask your surgeon. The class is led by our hospital’s dedicated total joint navigator, who will review how to best prepare for surgery, as well as what to expect during and after your hospital stay.
